A whimsical coming-of-age story of self-discovery (not just one self). Starring Lena Urzendowsky from the series “Dark” and “How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)”
The film's plot unfolds in two parallel universes. In the first one, there is only Franky—a disheveled and shy teenage girl whose life consists of listening to her mother's admonitions, hanging out with her only friend, Katja, and fruitlessly attempting to figure out her future. Franky is troubled by the uncertainty, especially when it comes to matters of love. In the second universe, there is an old-fashioned hotel decorated in the aesthetics of Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Michel Gondry films, inhabited by a diverse cast of characters. The hotel exists inside Franky's mind, and all its employees are her personalities, which take turns occupying the girl's body in different challenging situations: the concierge, Frank, is responsible for resourcefulness and wit; the chambermaid, Ella, for horny vibes; and the lobby boy, Lenny, for childlike nature. No one knows that there are multiple versions of Franky. Things spiral out of control when the heroine falls in love with Katja's new boyfriend.
