Why are naive artists so adored and popular in every country? Maybe because they paint with an open heart. Belarus has Alena Kish and Yazep Drazdovich, and the Faroe Islands have Sigrun Gunnarsdóttir. One of the most famous Faroese artists lives modestly in her native village and sees the world as surreal and colorful. In a conversation with the Belarusian art curator Olga Klip, Marianna Mørkøre and Beinta á Torkilsheyggi will discuss the secret of Sigrid’s charm and wisdom and how the characters of her paintings came to life on the screen.
